Quick stop in the lakes on our way south. Eddie wanted to recce the euro trials route up so I went for a very easy run up part of skiddaw. It was very steep which was not so ideal for my legs which have only just recovered from Saturday. Surprisingly legs felt fresh energy/strength wise just ankles and calves still sore from sat descent. Tried running the whole uphill
Note
Went to physio about achilies and got a plan for strengthening and ways to ease pain. Also got a cheeky sports massage which was handy timing with the DOMs from Saturday being worse than ever.

Wee bit of treadmill to ease of legs
Note
Horrendous DOMs. Wanted to run but think my legs would snap if I did

Birnam hill race. Quite a tough going race, no time to rest. V steep climb, kept an alright pace going the whole way up spurred on my the other carnethy girls around me. Died a little along the top of the hill. Downhill was then relentless, very fast pounding the path. Gave it a good go trying not to wimp out, think I managed this pretty well. Then died baxk along the undulating track to the finish, walking all the little inclines. Legs were jelly from the downhill. Managed to sneak under 45 mins which was my aim. Overall felt like I gave it a good go, raced hard which is something I havnt done in a while. And feeling inspired to get more hill fit again.
