Have been on the area before but a lot more of it was used this time which was nice. Was feeling well rested and ate well before so despite it being shitty weather I was fairly positive. Just kinda plodded round the first half, it was nice to just focus on spiking all the controls and get a good flow going but I was going pretty slow to achieve this. Wanted to do it in under an hour so I sped things up a bit just before the map flip. Didn’t really see a reduction in quality once I started going faster but it wasn’t a particularly difficult part of the course. Compared to the winning time it’s trash but ignoring where I placed I was fairly happy with how I executed things and will probably take a similar approach tomorrow. Ideally I’ll be prepared to do the stuff next weekend at race pace. Fitness is a bit meh at the moment but it wasn’t really holding me back today.
