First training back! And first time playing cricket in getting on 2 years! Really enjoyed this, such a lovely evening and once I shook the rust off, I was actually pretty decent. :) Careful with the ankle.

Really tough area and decided pretty quickly that trains wasn’t going to work too well with just me and Dad and the terrain. So we just went round together and it was good fun. Still not a fan of no kites though. Knackered now...

Dechmont O
Was having a really good run until some stupid mistakes at the end. 15 I took a poor bearing and ended up too far left and had to relocate and get the control (30secs). And then 18 it looked really easy and I aimed for a hill but spotted it was the wrong one halfway and corrected too much. Ended up dithering around in the gorse (1min 30secs). Other than that it was fast and good.

Dreghorn Sprint Race
Legs were feeling a bit niggly before this but once I got going they were ok. Really enjoyed pinging around the army barracks, even in the rain! Good courses, but I found I took some pretty bad routes. Rather annoying when I took a route to go over a passable fence but got there to find a 8ft high razor wire fence. Lost about 1min. Other than that I really enjoyed a proper sprint event :)

Bonnyfield O
New area, not sure I will be returning anytime soon though! Pretty brambly and not very nice. Enjoyed the courses by Steve. Legs were feeling pretty battered after yesterday’s match so took it fairly easy. Nav was pretty good, one annoying 30 sec loss as I decided to go straight, and got a bit confused, and another when I had poor direction out of the control, and got a bit stuck. Overall pretty good :)
