Thursday Nigth Training @ NRC
Super fun workout for tonight, runners choice sprint training. Great spot for it too.
Had a few difficulties reading the map to start with because of the contacts but seemed to get used to them. Also learned to keep my head down crossing the tiny sections of forest after one of them almost popped out.
Right hip area still not feeling great, although didn't seem to bother me too much after we got going. Definitely was impacting though.

Westpoint Day 2 @ Lake Frederick
Overall a much better race then yesterday. Found I was able to connect much better with the map. Still wasn't spiking absolutely everything and the lines were wonky in places, but I at least felt that I did a better job of planning and staying in contact.
Almost had a pretty good time, but managed to make a big mistake on #11 which cost me about 8 minutes. Again, don't really know what happened. My thinking is that the trail I was on must have extended further then I thought, turned me around without realizing, then I guess I didn't check my compass and assumed the road I was seeing was a path and not the actual road. Again wandered around a little and took me much longer then I should have to fix myself.
