Grim feeling during run but feeling better at the end, v glad Ben got me out for this :)

Massive travel day
Planned to go for a run in the morning but realised I'd have to go with Ben to the arena at 2:15am and straight from arena to airport after the race finished so plans changed..
Much fun watching Jukola anyway!

Orienteering 53:48 [4] 8.49 km (6:20 / km) +100m 5:59 / km

Venla leg 4 for RR1
Started in 75th place and basically just did an individual run, moving through some groups. A big hesitation on 1 having found a control in an earlier re-entrant and a direction error on 4(? need to see map) but otherwise I think it was pretty good :)
Finished 40th so team happy enough, though we would like to get top 30 some time!

Kukonkoivu (not model map but adjacent to area), some people tracks but not ridiculous yet. Still not feeling comfortable with the vague controls - anything which is only 1 contour is pretty hard to see and a bit of imagination is required. Compass compass compass tomorrow in those bits..
