5. Ken Walker caught up 1 minute on me here, and made a right turn (at the numeral "8") that I hadn't seen, saving me several seconds.
6.
7. Split analysis says this cost me 24 seconds, but it seemed like only 5-10, so I wonder whether I did something else that I don't remember (like tying my shoes, except I wasn't wearing shoes with laces). Got to the E edge of the circle and stopped, eyes watery and not seeing the E hill on the map. Read the control description, took a quick look around, and hopped over the W knoll to the flag.
8.
9. S to the road, then W to the control. Stopped in the right spot, and had to scrutinize the map to discern that I needed to look inside the doorway (or whatever it was). Didn't seem like more than 5 seconds, but split anaylsis says it was more.

12. E around the main building, then through the courtyard that was on the line and through the underpass.
13. N of the Y-shaped building. Ken was coming out as I passed the N end of the building, and though he must have made a mistake, but later realized that he was on his way to #16, not #14.
14.
15. S of the first building, N of the second. Wil Smith passed me here (caught up 3 minutes).
16.
17. Stopped at the beginning of this leg for a few seconds, because I could see that #17 was in a courtyard, but I couldn't see how to get in there past the uncrossable walls. Looked for a building pass-through from the other side or something, then looked closer and saw the narrow staircase leading down.
