Map is a strange scale : 1:12500. And the contours are difficult to see.

5. Right knee hurting, not helped by direction of slope (to left) - I hope this isn't old problems returning.

The flatter terrain mid leg was easier to run on and my knee was hurting less - seemed less painful for rest of run. Passed below control, tried to relocate off the inlets in the lake, and overshot again in the other direction. Met Jonathan Burnham as I was leaving control.

Couldn't see contours on map. All I could see was rock features, which were confusing on the ground. Did manage to loose Jonathan though,

20. Lots of us looking for control including Nancy Niemann and Tom Carr. As soon as one of us found it, all of us did (bingo control).

22. Up the stream - stopped to check a control on a lower stream junction - way too low - before continuing to correct control
