Spring Lake (BAOC): Sprint

1.	Did not check features en route +00:10	Came thru final patch of woods and saw control 40m to my left.
2.	Bad map reading +00:10	Confused a bit at edge of water channel. Think there may be an unmapped trail crossing.

4.		Rex Winterbottom, who started 1 min behind me, caught up here.

6.	Bad route choice +00:10	Followed Rex onto trail. He took left (incorrect) fork, I took right. However, should have taken route on E side of fence rather than on trail.

Did not like map Lacked concentration +02:00	Was worried about this one from the beginning, as I remembered that a control had been on one of these cliffs at a meet more than 10 years ago, and we all thought it was mismapped then (Cliffs are a bit further S, and there are more cliffs that aren't mapped.) Should have taken great care when leaving the trail junction to the NNE, but kept going at breakneck speed. Got to a cliff with no control, and instead of thinking, just ran around from cliff to cliff. Finally went back to trail, came in again, came to yet another cliff without the control, but then followed an elephant trail E 20m to the bag.
