Felt terrible - I am so slow just now. Slightly niggly. My pf is still a big problem. This isn't helped by my appalling circulation- worse than ever right now. Gloves on in the sun! I have special plantar fasciitis flip flops ("comforthotics" - ridiculously cheap from amazon) that mean I am able to walk pain free in the morning, but my feet are permanently frozen so flip flops are out. I need to find those socks with toes.

On the whole though I can't complain. A little bit of running always makes me smile!

Home, via the Lindsay's. I wanted to do a longer, more exciting run but had to work late and had to rush home for Ray to get out.

Felt really wiped out with the bad stomach I had going around HW at lunch, but I seemed to be running fast dispite feeling like I was dragging myself. I must still be angry :-) !

Good things:

1. Feeling crap but running fast
2. Managed to resist a last minute work lunch out to keep to training plans.
3. The cleaner came today! Yay!

Plod home. Quicker than the bus. Knee sore though. Boo. So I chased dinner down with some prufen.

Aim for tomorrow - eat less toast. Breakfast, 4 bits, Lunch soup and 2 slices of bread and an apple, dinner 5 bits of toast and some quiche. Cookies at work too. That does not meet the dietary requirements of a 14mile + day!

I was going to run at lunch but work was insanely busy so I worked through (vending machine lunch - 2 stoats porridge bars and a mint aero...). So I ran home instead. Nice hefty tail wind helping out. My cold got worse through the day.

After being ticked off by Nick for going through the motions with some orienteering recently, I have to admit that today's training is going through the motions of running. Both runs with a heavy bag, in to work and home from work, to avoid cycling in the frost or the hassle of the bus. No quality. And tomorrow will be the same. Crappy, but with a sick kid being able to fit in any training is good.

Run home. Felt good, not least because I was under time pressure to get home in time to go to a show at the festival. Achilles only started aching at the top of Morrison street, so slowed. Then met the glorious Alex McEwan in the meadows and had to stop for a 10min chat, so really sprinted the rest if the way home.

Run home with a map of WOC long. Going really well, even though I was not trying to run fast. Nice. I am confident that I have got the most that I could do out of my training over past few months, so go to WOC as happy as I can be with my physical condition after what has not been an ideal winters training. Hip not happy towards the end. Bummer. I don't think it likes the road. Hmmmm...

Nice hard run home from work. Pb to nursery (39:20, 5.8 miles - never been sub 40 before I don't think) then jogged the rest. The traffic was kind to me at the road crossings which helped. Only had to stop completely about 4-5 times. Tired and happy now.

Weak! I'm so weak! My name is Claire and I am an addict. I was totally going to not run, and cycle home, but got itchy feet so ran home instead. It was really nice. Legs felt crap, in fact whole body felt crap, but I was going as fast as I have ever done and into a decent headwind so good. Calf not good, but I just remembered what Dr Andrew Murray said back in March - it's just pain, I'm not going to pull anything. Icing Achilles and eating properly straight after.
