Grade: 2
Have had stomach issues for a while. Occured back in December, but was diagnosed as bacteria from food and medicated. Back again with a vengence. Now with bloating, short pains and burning. Was told it was probably an ulcer. Will get diagnosed by a specialist soon and maybe add more meds. Unfortunately the only way to resolve the pain is eating and I am frequently tired.
It has been 24 days and still no change. I am still waiting for the results of some tests from the doctor. I hope I get an appointment with the specialist soon.
It has now been a week and the stomach bloating has remained intact and some slight discomfort. Nothing new is happening and it doesn't affect my training so much. Got some good news today that it was not the same bacteria I had back in December. However, I still wait for an appointment with the specialist. Tired of this feeling.
07.06.01: Stomach pain has gotten a bit worse with more intense burning and diahrea. I am going to go to the hospital, because I cannot wait any longer for the appointment with the gastric specialist.
07.06.04: The bloating is increasing in discomfort. Will see the specialist tomorrow and they will put a camera in my stomach to see what is wrong. Hopefully they find something curable.
07.06.05: Ok, the news is that may either have an ulcer or possibly am allergic to dairy products (good for being vegan, but $$, is restrictive and has protein issues). Regardless, got blood taken and other tests. Will know in two weeks whether it is allergies or more tests are needed. Still sucks in the meantime as it disrupts my rest and sometimes training.
07.06.18: No allergies or infections known from taking blood. Now on meds for toilet visits. Will do an endoscopy in a few weeks to see if there is inflammation, ulcer or something else.
07.06.28: The burning feeling in my upper stomach has ceased a bit, but I cannot understand what the onset is. However, for two days(23-24 June) I had repeated hiccups. I associated them with the large amounts of alcohol I consumed during that time. I have been taking the diahrea medicine for a week and it has helped in that area. I reduced the amount from 2 to 1 pill, because it was too much. I have a kolonoscopi scheduled for Tuesday (07.08.03) to discover what could be the problem. I hope there comes a solution.
07.08.28: The pain yesterday was quite sharp in my right lower side of the stomach. It comes and goes and I notice it more when I in moments of stress. That leads me to believe that it is an ulcer. In early August, the results came back from the colonoscopi and everything was normal. Next week they plan to do the gastroscopi and take blood to see if I am allergic to gluten. If everything comes back normal, they say that perhaps I have a functional disorder, such as motor disorder or irritable bowel syndrome. I am amazed that they have not found anything during all of these tests AND that these symptoms are similiar in many different ailments. It has caused a great deal of discomfort and emotional stress for many months, so I am eager to know what it is so I can take the necessary precautions to heal or at least live with whatever it is. Results will come back at the end of September.
