R Arm, Other

2013-04-16 – ?

Grade: 1

Strained A4 pulley on R ring finger while climbing. Old injury come back to haunt for another season. Minor strain, however, no severe discomfort. Will treat with friction massage and cold water soaks.

The A4 feels good, however pain withing other pulley points in the finger is noticeable. Can climb snooze you lose with relatively little to no discomfort on lead, but still noticing pain with friction massage and certain pressure points. Continuing treatment and light climbing regimen until this resolves.

Pain is back on the upswing starting last week. No new MOI, just returning pain. I slacked a bit on the treatment, but now I'm going right back into stretching and friction massages. I'm going to lay off the ice barhs for a little bit and see if that makes any differences.
