L Lower Leg, Shin Splints

FIrst noticed on second half of long run. Not a massive problem on Tuesday training, but rested for a few days before XC champs. Was increasingly sore during race, now resting completely for at least a week. Very easy 5k resulted in some soreness, but this went after a day or two. Hill session a few days later resulted in no pain. There is still some stiffness at full flexion, but hopefully will subside over the coming weeks.

Probably did a bit too much mileage in the preceeding days. Main issue may have been a 10 minute break in long run to watch marathon, then setting off with no stretching? Rest had the desired effect, just hope that increasing the miles won't mean an ongoing problem.
