could put no weight on leg after injury, knee immobilizer for about 48 hours allowed me to walk; after 48 hours removed immobilizer and able to walk carefully. strength increasing each day.

After MRI etc, they're not really sure why it was so debilitating. I think the original injury was caused by pulling heavy picnic tables by myself for the New Year's Day event; I had some soreness the next day; got progressively worse until it gave out when I tried to race on the 9th. But whatever it was, it healed pretty quickly. Definitely need to do more regular stretching and strengthening exercises.
