Tweaked knee during hard run on Tues Jan 17th but finished run thinking little of it. Missed Jan 19th run due to a cold. Wore a brace for run on Jan 21st and it felt a little tender but there was no pain so I ran entire 27km. Mistake. This aggravated condition and I have been laying off running ever since. First planned run will be Jan 31st to see how it is.
After a weeks rest and then running a week or more with the soft brace the knee is back to normal. Whenever I lengthen the distance substantially - especially on tempo runs - I should where the brace as a precaution.
