I'm not sure if it's shin splints, but I definitely have a soft bump on my shin right above my ankle. When I lock my knee and bend over it feels like when you're stretching too far and things start to tear. Coach always said, don't reef on it...
I haven't been running. I notice little round popping out bits on shins while doing squats, and they still tweak when bending funny, but mostly gone. I talked to the trainer about ways to avoid this in the future-stretching and strengthening the shins.
