QOC Chase. Probably among the hotter ones that I can remember, upper 80s, and me less heat-acclimated than usual since I haven't been running during lunch this year. While reading ahead at the end of the first loop, I ran straight into one of the birdhouses in the field (rusty enough to schedule a Tetanus shot later in the afternoon).

Lost the JT/Wyatt/Glen/Daniel pack when I ran right past 15 (I even saw it) without punching...turned around after 100m, thanks to Glen for saving me from dsq. I slowed down a little after that to save my brain from completely melting, and was alone until the end. No picnic this year, so I grabbed water for my last two drinks in order to facilitate an early departure.
