Through prestonfield golf course to AS, up the back path to the summit then the handicap route back to Queens drive and home.

I think sitting on my arse working all day of late might have atrophied some of my muscles, as I was feeling weak. I have lost weight recently despite still looking fat so muscle wastage it must be (or not-yet-diagnosed-cancer obvs. Hypochondriac? Me?). I have always wanted thin calves, but not really osteoporosis so maybe I should actually move occasionally.

We have a work 4 week step challenge though so time to get out there. I don’t mean to brag but I have cast a glance around the room at team away days and there appears to be no one working at the Uni’s finance team who looks like they have exercised willingly since high school. Victory is in the bag surely? Well working 10 hour days, having B to look after and my current arse problems might hold me back slightly, but I’ll give it a go as I am so damn competitive. 22,501 so far today, but yet to go to brush my teeth.

45 min window while Lucy was at football at Meggetland, so along the canal, up Craiglockhart south, dropped in at Frandy’s for a chat then back via Myreside and the canal, chatting to Interlopers that I bumped into. I was v jealous of the sociable club run which I have never made it to but Thursday’s is Lucy football at Meggetland and Laurence athletics at the other end of Edinburgh. It is so rare to manage to run with other people when you spend your whole life being a taxi service to kids.

Physio - general S&C 50:00 [3]

Jill Stephen (Scotland’s best hill runner just now) has started doing S&C classes for runners for a modest charge. Meadows Pavillion at 7 for quads, hamstrings and glutes every Monday. Hopefully this will help massively as it is basically my Physio exercises, but you’ve paid money to go so you have to do it. In the rain this morning. Let me know if you want to join in and I’ll give you her contact details.

Jeez. A full day shuttling between Meggetland with Lucy for football (am) and Rugby (pm) while Loz and Ray went biking. It will be better when B is old enough for a Buggy run.

Braids 5k HBT handicap. I am too crocked for this really, so arranged for a v early start (just behind Sheila) and jogged around with Sarah O’N-Crawford. Shelia might have had a fighting chance if she hadn’t come at the Braids trig point from totally the wrong direction! Fun. Totally pissed off the golfers by chatting in a big pile afterwards. Whoops.
