Northern Champs.
Struggled a bit reading the map to 1 but somehow got the fastest split by 43s, what? That was definitely the peak of this race though! Slow up the hill to 2 and then 3 was baad. Didn't see the ride and got a bit confused with how far up the bank I was, found a control that wasn't mine and turned to go up the hill when actually my control was down, lost at least 90s. Next few were alright, got a bit stuck in brambles to 5. Then was too low at 8, lost ~30s. 9 and 10 were fine but then I tripped just before 11. Got absolutely covered in mud and clobbered my shin off a branch. Hobbled the rest of the way to the control and most of the way to 12. Also stopped for a drink which took ages as I couldn't get the water to pour. Think I lost at least 90s over these 2 legs. Being sore, muddy and tired meant I also lost any remaining motivation that was left. Trundled through the last few, little bit off on 17 ~15s lost. Finished and had 0 motivation for a WD. I think if I hadn't fallen I would have been quicker through the last section, my splitsbrowser line defs gets steeper at 11 but need to try and reduce unnecessary time loss like at 3 and 8. Some time loss defs due to the 1:15000 scale, should practice on it more often.
