Another day, another lake ski adventure! Lake Laberge with Jen and the gang. A little icier underfoot but generally enough crust on the surface to get an edge. Able to zip along quick quickly with little effort. Snack break on a nice little beach and then back.

Fish Lake ski with Jen! Borrowed some ski gear and went out for a little lake skiing this morning. Lake was pretty good for skating for the most part. A few dangerous mounds of drifted snow which resulted in spectacular wipeouts. The borrowed poles I used only had hand loops so my hands were quite wrecked by the end of this, especially with lots of DP at the far end. But stunning views and good catching up with friends!! Making up for the short ski season this year... in May?!?! I'll take it.

I was going to do some strength this evening but I ate a celebratory end-of-self-isolation ice cream sandwich instead.

Felt super tired today. Haven't been sleeping very well since my vaccine but also lots on my mind planning wise, so unscheduled rest day it was.

Garmin watch needs to last 1 more week for a replacement... darn thing can't hold a charge for more than 3 hours on watch mode!
Strava GPS from my phone ... not the best but it will hold me over.

Mostly running, with a few walk breaks. Keeping it breezy. Only one knee niggle and just general hip tightness.

Post Moderna shot #1. Feeling fine overall now but slept terribly last night. Arm is sore and generally fatigued but better than expected this round!
Very fortunate to be able to get vaccinated here in Whitehorse. They have implemented a vaccination protocol for students and seasonal workers in isolation to get their first dose while they complete their isolation if they provide a negative rapid test.

Another nice walk/run. Slightly more running this time. Mostly still my hip and lower back, knee holding up well! Shows that this is just some kind of muscle thing.
About 5.3km running and 27mins.
