Long run in the Lakes with Tess. Started from Ulswater, ran trail along Grisedale up to Grisedale Tarn, climbed up to ridge to Helvellyn via Dollywaggon and Nethermost Pikes, then down to narrow Striding Edge and a loop around Red Tarn, back to Helvellyn (950m) and further north towards Raise, and then back to Glenridding along Sticks Gill and Glenridding beck. Stunning!!

3x2000m track intervals (4:00 per km). didn't feel up to this at all today. felt really awful and I was struggling with the last laps. not a good day at all. this was supposed be easy as the pace wasn't any faster but it felt hard enough today.

3,5km warm up + 8km steady run along muddy canal side + 3,5km warm down. tested new camelbak hydration system. worked quite alright even when running faster.
