Running long 2:38:00 [3] 32.15 km (4:55 / km) +179m 4:47 / km

The race was cancelled due to bad weather (that meant about 1cm snow that was more or less gone by the time of the race) so I extended my run to a 20 miler. First 11k easy, then 15k at m-pace, and 6k warm down. Went okay, the hardest thing was to stay on the route since they had already collected all the sign posts and the map was quite poor. Running felt relaxed and easy.

Running 12:00 [1] 2.0 km (6:00 / km)

Afternoon jog to pick up my t-shirt and goodie bag.

Running 25:00 [2] 5.0 km (5:00 / km)

Picking up my race number

Friday Mar 16, 2018 #

Running 17:00 [2] 3.0 km (5:40 / km)

Easy quick jog before the travel

Running intervals (track) 1:05:00 [4] 11.5 km (5:39 / km)

15min warm up with strides, then 10x400m intervals in 1:30 with 200m jog recoveries, and 20min warm down with 3x150m sprints (25-30s). Felt pretty good all the way. Fast sprints surprisingly easy! :)

Running 1:28:00 [2] 15.02 km (5:52 / km) +121m 5:38 / km

Easy run including some street O in Tukkutori surroundings. Very icy and I had just my normal trainers.

Orienteering (sprint) 53:00 [3] 8.2 km (6:28 / km) +97m 6:06 / km

Helsinki Night Challenge in Pornaistenniemi including warm up and warm down. Missu invited me to this and it was my very first time. Probably also my first night sprint race ever!(?) Took it quite easy but it was still quite challenging and a lot of fun. It was awfully icy everywhere after yesterday's rain which made it really hard to keep balance in tight corners. It was a great course that offered everything from urban milieu to deep snow, hills and forest. Loved it!

Running 32:00 [2] 5.34 km (6:00 / km) +25m 5:51 / km

Easy evening run in slush. Just horrible weather.
