Strength Training 5:00 [1]

Pole Dancing 1:00:00 [1]

Today I tried doing some spinning and then the usual chopper invert, and it actually felt relatively easy! In the beginning, I could barely take my feet off the ground, and it was several times before I could do a chopper, and only when I wiped the pole down and kicked off the ground slightly. Yay!

My best video yet, I think, because it looks so smooth. Thanks to Boris for holding the camera.

Pole Dancing 45:00 [1]

The boots are wonderful - really comfortable and make it easier to grip the pole, but unfortunately they squeak when I try to slide down.

This is my first attempt at a new combination - climb up then let go with my hands while spinning.

Finally, some pole practice! Here's a short video of the lifts I've been practicing.

Pole Dancing 30:00 [1]

Showing Sergei Zhyk some pole moves - he was good! From my sample size of 2 (Neil was the first), it seems that it is significantly easier for men to do the lifting moves, mainly because they already have the upper body strength. On the other hand, it is usually much easier for women to look graceful, keep the legs straight, toes pointed, etc.

Strength Training 1:00:00 intensity: (50:00 @1) + (10:00 @2)

Gym session. Climbed the stairs (sort of quick on the steps, walk the turns) three times, then did some strength and stretching.

Pole Dancing 15:00 [1]

My schedule has been messed up since August. Tonight, for instance, Boris and I had a wonderful dinner and then did some galapagos planning, then I did math from 11:30-12:45, and then I did some stuff on the pole. Bedtime will finally happen around 1:30 AM, and tomorrow (I mean, later today) I will finally get out of bed at 10AM. Shame to spend the morning in bed, but sleep is crucial and Boris and I haven't been successful in switching to an earlier bedtime.

Anyway, here are two short clips from tonight:
