"Easy" run with Boris around Devil's Tower. Beautiful scenery, of several different varieties. We stopped a few times to take photos and also to observe a turkey vulture up close. Left knee hurt a bit when I was clambering around on rocks before the run (when I bent it all the way, that is) but was ok during. HR was high a lot of the time due to mild altitude, some hills, and general lack of fitness.
Easy run in the Badlands. Absolutely spectacular scenery, but physically not feeling great. Really full from eating a lot of popcorn at the Corn Palace, and left knee hurt throughout. But afterward, Boris and I drove on a dirt road and saw big horn sheep, buffalo, and a porcupine. That made me happy. :)
Orienteering with Boris on Cat's Meow (the US Champs Day 1 map). The forest was a lot greener than in the fall, which made the visibility quite low in some places, but it was still for the most part quite runnable.
