Messing around with the controls at the team trials sprint. Started my pre-run late after replacing a nonfunctioning epunch at the first control, and tried but failed to stay ahead of the first competitors.

Brown course at Patapsco Hilton, with dog. It was nice when he was pulling me up the hill on the trail, but it wasn't so nice when he was pulling me from side to side on the rocky ground. But any mistakes were mine, and I made a couple of them. The ankle felt good. My calves are sore, both sides, from the run yesterday. I noticed that dog-walking yesterday too. Why just the calves, I wonder?
