Orienteering race (BF sprint 1) 17:13 [4] 3.0 km (5:44 / km)
shoes: New Balance

Started very poorly, hit the start then went forward .. could not get the map to fit, couldn't find the big ovals that i was running towards on the map, tok about 20 s to realise where i was and where i needed to go, which was in the opposite direction.

had agood run 2-12 then coming out of 12 headed for the wrong set of stairs, so had to get back down them and go up a different set, struggled to run hard the rest of the way, had to avoid some zombies near 17

will try to remember to look at which way people leave the start in future ...
4 PM

Orienteering race (BF sprint 2) 15:37 [4] 3.0 km (5:12 / km)
shoes: New Balance

1 error at 6, went left then past the building i was planning to go behind, saw some stairs which i couldn't see on the map, ended up past the control scratching my head ...

avoided following but taking alternate route choices probably added to the error.

wasn't too happy with speed compared to those around me.

running (lunch run) 21:39 [3] 4.0 km (5:25 / km)

went for a quick jog, was hot .. felt a little better than the last couple (same route) but did stop for a drink, and a quick chat to a friend i passed by near the end.

GYM (Aqua) (Aqua) 45:00 [3]

Orienteering race (Aus Relay) 1:17:30 [4] 8.8 km (8:48 / km) +340m 7:23 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 340

Mass start of second leg .. straight into a 100m climb ..
decent run and nav to 5, took low option to fence and had a decent run with plenty of animal trails and track next to fence, then slow walk up from fence up to spectator control.
went low to 7 and 8, but had trouble hitting the controls for both, losing 30s to 60s on each, was clean running and nav for the rest, so pretty happy with run.

concentrated hard when running on the difficult bits to avoid spraining ankle, ran the last downhill parts pretty quick (quick for me, it was fun)
