Mountain bike ride (Ride) 55:00 [3]

Second ride for the week but based on weather I won’t be riding next week. It was a good solid ride.
3 PM

Treadmill (Longer walk) 40:00 [3] 2.75 mi (14:33 / mi)

Did a longer flatter walk.

Trail Run long (Long hilly) 2:13:00 [4] 9.5 mi (14:00 / mi)

I chose a hilly trail that just opened this morning. There are fewer riders on this trail which makes it more pleasant. There was a spot where cows trampled the trail and then there were miles where feral pigs had just routed it to pieces. These made it tough so I’m very pleased with this time. It was the same time as usual.

Swimming (Swim) 16:00 [3]

I’m swimming most days but only putting down the times where I was really pushing and getting stronger w my swimming. Tethered swimming is boring but I’m getting the hang of it again.

Concrete/road run intervals (4 x 1 min) 1:01:00 [4] 5.5 mi (11:05 / mi)

This was a tough run. #1 and #3 were the best. #1 was probably so fast because my dog got startled and we took off. #3 was all on my own. The other two I had to drag my dog a bit so just seconds slower.

Mountain bike ride (Ride) 50:00 [3]

I was back on a technical trail. At about the 30 min mark, my husband called and he was locked in our friends bike shop. He’d been there helping w renovations and realized he didn’t have his keys. So I took off as fast as I could. As I just riding the last hill to the parking lot, he called again. Our friend got there to let him out. So much for my peaceful ride.

Treadmill tempo (Marathon hill/flat) 1:00:00 [4] 5.25 mi (11:26 / mi)

Never my favorite run. The long hills are always tough. I did have to slow the pace for a few times. When doing the flat portion, it felt like downhill for the first 5 minutes. It got tougher towards the end but generally this went better.

Weight training (Wts) 30:00 [3]

Biceps and legs. This will be a focus. My shoulder and back will have plenty of training with the swimming.

I did do a 10 min swim but the pool vacuum kept interfering with the tether and made it impossible to keep it steady. I’ll do more later.
6 PM

Trail Run (Easy recovery) 45:00 [3] 3.9 mi (11:32 / mi)

This was a tough run. My back really hurt after the lifting and swim. I kept it easy. As long as I kept my stride short, it was better.
