Back really, really awful first thing. I didn't do any exercises yesterday. Is that why???

This situation is getting critical now. it was v painful every morning in Spain too . I can't go on like this. Running doesn't help. Resting doesn't help. Climbing doesn't help. Osteopath hasn't helped. 1-1 pilates hasn't helped. Maybe a regular pilates class (new year?) will start to help, but in the meantime, I am wincing & unable to stand up properly 1st thing every fucking morning. On a good day, it's eased enough by breakfast that i can have a normal day.

Seeing Liz tomorrow - she's just realised I'm not faking or moaning & can check me out for any disc or pre-arthritic damage, apparently. she's done a lot of CPD courses.

Starting too late but not early enough, a regime of back & core flexibility & strengthening training.

Too little to late, but better late than never.

Boring. Need to deal with this & make it regular.

Easy cycling, to town (Free Solo film - highly recommended)

then to Fishponds for a few pints. Clio reckons my blood sugars are spiking again. She's right :-(

Total of about 55 mins "easy" cycling. All in the cold dark & rain. Fun.

Back sore - gut ache - thumb hurt from bizarre domestic incident.

All day spent prep for huge Cheltenham College gig tonight - 250 guests, a works' Xmas party. I've not practised, my fingers are wrecked, my thumbs' possibly infected, what can possibly go wrong?

Travel back from Spain

Gatwick insanity didn't affect Alicante- Bristol.

How can a country's main airport be shut down cos of drones? what do their security team do all day? and what does the £milions on defence actually do when there's a problem>? Have meetings?

Note - went to Cheltenham 8pm - 10pm to set up & soundcheck. Utterly exhausted by 10:30pm.

Full on day climbing, including 2 or 3 probable 6b onsights (hard 6a+ minimum), which Steve struggled on.

Totally wrecked by early evening & dogged a final 6b badly, before sprinting up a 6a to finish before beer O'clock. another amazing trip.

Why do I live in Bristol..........

Much needed rest from climbing.

Drove up into the hills & walked up (20 mins) the Castell of Confrides, on the edge of the Aitana plateau. Awesome views.
