Gravel ride (Dirty Joe) 2:51:13 [4] 26.0 mi (6:35 / mi) +1824ft 6:10 / mi
shoes: The Monster

Joe Dirt ride. The combo of hills, fatigue and high gearing totally kicked my ass. Great ride, and it'll be even greater when I'm in better shape.

The Monster has proven itself to be a versatile machine. Still needs lower gears, though.

Mountain biking (Berryman//gravel) 3:00:00 [4] *** 17.0 mi (10:35 / mi)
shoes: The Monster

Partial Berryman loop til it got muddy, then it was a gravel road ride back to the bbq grill. Listed distance is approximate and based on other people's data, as is elapsed time.

Maiden Voyage on the Monster was a solid success. The gearing is way too high right now, but that will be an easy fix.

Gravel ride (Busch) 2:30:00 [4] *** 13.77 mi (10:54 / mi)
shoes: Vivica

Busch Gravel with the night squad. Chuck wanted to find an abandoned bridge, so we did a fair bit of riding through corn fields and jeep trails. The ground was soft ande the riding was slow, but I was glad we'd be able to follow our own tracks in the event we get lost.

The bridge was hard to find so we split up. On my way back to the rendezvous point, shit went sideways and I wound up wrecking into a creek. Couldn't get my left foot unclipped, so it all seemed to happen in slow motion. Luckily I was wearing a wool jersey and my cold weather pants are semi-waterproof. Pretty much my entire left side was soaked, but the wool totally saved my ass and we had an otherwise awesome ride.

Wool 4-eva.

Road Run (Wildwood paved trail) 31:21 [4] 3.0 mi (10:27 / mi) +234ft 9:44 / mi
shoes: New Balance

From Starbucks to the turnaround and back. Listed time represents moving time, but there were a few breaks, mostly to text back and forth with Dave as to my location and to fix my headphones.

NB shoes are working out alright. Minimal calf soreness.

Really wanted the last mile to be a sub 10; turned out to be 10:09 but I think if I had started my push sooner it would've worked out fine. I'll probably start wearing a watch.

Road Run 10:31 [4] 1.2 mi (8:46 / mi)
shoes: New Balance

To the library, where I found out you have to have a utility bill with your address on it if you want a library card.

Road Run 10:03 [4] 1.2 mi (8:23 / mi)
weight:276lbs shoes: New Balance

Running back home from library in a race against time to then drive back to the library with necessary utility bill so I can get a damn library card.

Sunita didnt think I would make it in time. Sunita was wrong, but happy I made it
