A tricky map, especially for me. No reentrants or other easy to find features to reorient on, which caused me roughly ten minutes of lost time on #13, and 30s-1min problems on a couple of points earlier on the course.

Difficult as middles usually are for me. A stupid error on the way to #2 cost me a couple of minutes, but the other errors were smaller. My pace was just not fast enough, especially in the heavier weeds.

A fun event, probably the funnest of the weekend. To run this successfully, you had to maintain map contact every second. But a sizable number of kids enjoyed this, and I think it would work well as a local-type meet.

Not a great start to the weekend. Messed up both #1 and #3, with the time loss on #3 being much worse.

A fatal combination of an underpowered light, unmarked deadfall and bad route choices. It was not nearly as much a problem with the map as I thought that night.
