Orienteering race 53:49 [4] 9.0 km (5:59 / km)
shoes: VJ Falcon

OHV OY - Walda - Red Long - 7.3Km
Spiked every control, though that wasn't actually too difficult as the control features were generally very obvious. Possibly lost a bit on some route choices as I was generally trying to avoid terrain running.

Ran fairly cautiously with the ankle. Not too bad to start with, but it was feeling sore at times towards the end, and quite swollen again a few hours later. More cycling this week!

Note

Golf with Alan at RW. First time this year so very rusty to start with, but improved. Only did 13 holes thanks to issues with daylight, slow groups and rain. Highlight was a birdie on the 3rd. Putting very well. Ankle seemed to cope.

Cycling 45:13 [5]

Hills on the bike at the top of Avro - 2 x 5. Only did the first one on the usual part of the hill as there was a crew cutting down tree branches up there. Did the rest on the next section down which was about 1:50 for each effort.

Not sure how effective these are compared with running, but the last part of each one was certainly painful enough.

Cycling 1:01:52 [3] 25.31 km (2:27 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW. Actually felt pretty good, but the bike needs a bit of work, and there was a decent Southerly coming through. Ankle seems to be able to cope with cycling, so might be doing a bit in the next week or so.

Running 1:02:46 [3] 11.0 km (5:42 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 33 Blue

From Totara Park, CW along the river bank to start with but not quite all the way to Riverstone. Had to take a head torch for the bush bits towards the end.

Ankle quite swollen. A bit painful at the start but main problem later on was a sore right calf. Feeling really good runningwise, probably because it was a few degrees cooler than it's been for a while.

Ankle sore afterwards - might have to rest it a bit.
