Hill Walking 5:17:00 [0] 12.41 km (25:32 / km) +549m 20:55 / km

Ulster Way adventures with mum & dad, from Ballycastle to Ballycastle Forest car park. Went rogue and added in a summit of Knocklayd for the Arderin. Great day for it and almost completely bone dry. Really easy walking underfoot, unexpectedly. One to return to.

Strength & Conditioning (Mobility) 1:00:00 [0]

Fab day out in the Lecale general area, including COLD swim. Weird because the water was much warmer (it was not like knives on my skin) but I personally felt MUCH colder and couldn't stay in long.

Very, very good day for the soul

Strength & Conditioning (Wildfoot) 45:00 [1]

More animal flow - lots of underswitches. Shoulder okay but it wasn't really tested. Ditto knees but a bit more dubious on the "okay". Managed some ugly loaded beasts but they were far from textbook

Running 49:27 [2] 7.01 km (7:03 / km)
shoes: Black Vivo FGs

Longest run in AGES! Extremely pleasant day for it - and the final 3k or so was barefoot. Lycras and sports bra. I'm sure I looked fabulous lol but I FELT fabulous. Really love the barefooting now my feet don't drop off with the cold any more.

One round of animal flow after but I wasn't great, forgot the last bit. Couple of plays on the rings in between Wildfoot and run too.

Strength & Conditioning (Pilates ) 1:00:00 [1]

With Nikki who did my course recently. Good enough but none of this mobility / ankle / feet / explanation shit. Just classical movements with magic circle stuff. Good for abdominals though felt a bit like a Soviet era exercise class. Do this do this do that.

Strength & Conditioning (Wildfoot) 1:00:00 [1]

Really easy sesh today. Seems to be loads of newbies. Also I've been away from Stephen's training, with one thing & another, for really quite some time.
Was pleasant enough to leave the doors open; I used the rings for incline push ups and even did 3 pull ups after (green band shhhhh).

Really tight L shoulder when running after - frustrating. Is it the pulls that's been doing it the whole time? Is my L shoulder compensating for my R (since it's my R that struggles with weight-bearing in certain planes, and especially rotations).

Anyway was good fun.
7 PM

Running 18:57 [2] 3.01 km (6:17 / km)

Springy-springing along after Wildfoot, perfect temperature, joints all well oiled, barefoot. Should be hitting the absolute wall in terms of tiredness but somehow I'm not (and that's after an impressive day of Actual Work No Distractions Apart From The Laundry today).

No nasal breathing, ain't got the for that lark when there's springing to be done.

Bloody football is back on, millions of shrieking kids. Damn them and their enthusiastic exuberant carefree happiness at being back at organised football training.

Anyway they left at 8 and the drinkers hadn't come out yet, so it all worked out nicely for evening exercise.
