tried to spectate the running festival on the way to willoughby, but didn't know the start times, so somehow saw not a soul on the route until crossing the bridge, where the midpackers where huffing and puffing... must have just missed everything

Some nice controls and made some errors in the first 3, but the last half was like a summer series street running. Mispunched the last control which was about 50m short of the actual... had a lemming toddler cycle across in front of me which probably put me off on approach, but would have got it wrong anyway. 2 minutes off Ewan (who pre-read the map...), but beat him on 2 splits so he owes me a dollar.
Legs felt good for the first half until the climb, where calfraises yesterday got me

had some time after taking care of oscar all morning, so went down towards brighton, and explored some of the deadend roads into the airport... really wierd there are public roads that just end at some random cargo gates, and one that ends a a real dodgy beach
a reasonable decline in progress over the last 2 weeks, still believed to be pericarditis which is normal in first 12 months. ranges between almost fine and shit. Trying voltaren for it which can give me pretty bad stomach cramps
