Orienteering race (Midland Champs) 1:09:01 [5] **** 8.4 km (8:13 / km) +105m 7:44 / km

Midland champs 2013 in sherwood forest. Really nice area, not too technical but not easy and I had a rather long but enjoyable course. Wanted to get quick out of number two, headed completely in the wrong direction, need to go back to the basics and learn to set my map!!! ;) cost me about 4 mins but apart from that had a good run, could have had slightly better route choises on the long legs but nothing major. Pleased with that. BUT, to be competitive i need to improve fitness, in the thick stuff I was slow and that tierd me out for the path runs!

After race, went out on the bikes with mark and holly round the event area, some very nice bridleways and paths. (kind of class it as a warm down)
