Training Log Archive: Old Daniel

Ran quite hard around standard Purdown route but messed up timing so just a guess. May have been a bit quicker as pushed hard over the last wood section and time quite good for this bit

Really enjoyed this and executed the pace quite well. Ran north along the coast path and then reservoir as Monday except (a) we did not get lost, (b) it was not raining and (c) we took the footpaths that bypassed Bryn Bwbach so maybe a bit shorter

Walk with Huw, Charlie and Daniel from car park to standing stones and yesterdays summit

Run with Mark and Alice. From the cottage, up the lane and up through the very overgrown (and slow) woodland path and onwards cross country towards the summit until re-directed to main path by farmer at Moel-y-geifr, round the path and then in the terrain over summit and down to near Bryn Bwbach

Walk around the forest around LLyn Mair saw Festiniog steam train

Walk with the Goy and Thomas families from Abergaslyn. up Cym Bychan to the col, for a picnic and back.

Run to Reservoir with Laura, in not too unpleasant warm rain but got a bit lost. Ran north up the coast path from the cottage at Talsarnau to Bryn Glas and up to and passed LLyn Techwyn Ughaf, turning right through the wood towards Tallin. We then made an abortive short cut across the moor before returning to the path but disorientated we turned left rather than right at the lane. Clearly lost we knocked on a lone cottage door. Go back and turn left at the post box. Minutes later we flagged down a white van man who gave more detail and waited in Bryn Bwbach to check we made the key turn.

Wet morning but playground and garden in sun later

Walk to waterfall Rhaeedr Du with full complement of kids not far but quite a challenge!
