"Glenrock National Park", Merewether. 33c, 64 points max. Started with the N controls, moved down the E side of the map and then back through the middle. Better timing today, just 2" to spare, but needed just a few more minutes to find 5 more points (3c) in the middle. Scored 37 points (18c) 26th/50. In hindsight it may have been more efficient to do the W controls first (19pts) then move through the S (8pts) and middle (13pts) areas. Very hilly today but thankfully a bit cooler. Even the single tracks were fast/fun. Had to walk up several inclines as the surfaces were too slippery to ride. Controls: 210-220-223-211-231-215-222-212-214-221-202-213-200-216-203-204-225-207-F. 36°C. 23%rh. TE 5.0.

Leaving 210.

"Barnsley". 26c, 49 points max. All 9x2pt controls were located somewhere on a 9km marked line course. The 10x1pt & 7x3pt controls were mapped away from the marked course. Followed the marked course most of the way picking up the first 7x2pt controls (100>106). Managed to snag 4x1pt and 5x3pts on side trips. Net score 32 (16c) after 1 penalty for being 18" late 26th/45. Controls: 100-111-101-121-120-102-103-122-115-104-105-126-124-106-117-127-F. 39°C. 19%rh. TE 4.7.

"Mining Mystery", Pelaw Main. 30c (10 line, 20 score), 60 points max. Took 63 mins to do the line course (210>219; 20 points). Only had time to collect two 1-pointers (206-205) before time was up. 56" late (-1). Net score 21 (12c) 36th/62. A better strategy would have been to ignore the 10 line course controls and just go for the 40 points available across the 20 score controls. Annoyed that my watch strap broke just before the start. Had to manage with it sliding around on my map board. 33°C. 49%rh. TE 5.0.
