"Contoured" around the base of Mt Doug. Nice run. Ran a trail for the first time that paralleled Blenkinsop fairly close to the property line. Twisty and rolly.

A gorgeous day to be running or just out and about and I was surprised to see very few people taking advantage of the sunshine and warm weather in the park.

I was feeling lackadaisical today and was not interested in any form of workout; however as I looked outside my office window and saw my Victoria typical liquid sunshine slanting at a 45 degree angle to the ground, I thought a quick run would turn my athletic apathy into a seratonin uptake fest.

It turns out that it did: I felt great post run, despite being sooked to the core and mud splattering my ankles and back.

...no one else was out and about in Mt Doug park...go figure.

Mt Doug: Nice relaxed run - lots of mud and proprioceptive moments. Fairly flat route - very busy along the trails - had to dodge dogs and walking groups.

I had good intentions today. Seriously good intentions to run and/or bike. My work day soon turned into a futile push against a flowing river that morphed into me trying to herd cats high on catnip and hungry for tuna. Lots of wheel spinning and not getting anywhere which pushed me past lunch and into the afternoon....

The long and short of it was I didn't get a work out in - but.....I did bring my road bike to my fav techie for a bike fitting and soon found out that:
1) I need a new seat post cuz my seat couldn't be moved forward anymore and I needed to bring my seat foward by over two cm....and I thought it was my old age making my knees ache.
2) my handle bar was bent (hmmmm, which crash was that??) and needs to be replaced;
3) Because I moved my seat forward, my stem has be lengthened.

My techie luvs it when I show up in his shop - I finance a multitude of his vacations and I'm sure I've put his daughter thru undergrad and med school.
