Windstorm - branches, debris everywhere. Wind blowing hard with driving rain. Running into a headwind sux cuz I run with my mouth open and with the horizontal rain I wind up swallowing water, airborne debris and various flying critters. Somewhere it might be snowing, but not in Victoria!

Some interval drills, ball handling, shots, scrimmage. It was wet and windy - horizontal rain! I should be racing in that weather, not playing soccer. ;-)

Hooked up with the good Dr to ride the Tzu. Up and up and up - good lung burner and then sweet rolling single track down. Very wet and in some areas, slick moss covered glacial rock assisted in untimely, uncoordinated dismounts.
We both resisted the numerous stunts & catwalks that lined the single track: me for fear of certain death and embarassment and the doc cuz he didn't want me to feel llike a smuck when he would have cleaned each stunt. Post ride, I didn't even get to quaff a beer with our dental ubermeister cuz he had leave me for a two hour massage.

From work: ran with Dee; she's tapering for a Sunday race and I had to keep her pace down. Not a fast run but good to get out at lunch and run the cobwebs off after sitting on my can all morning.

Very slow trot wtih a co-worker who is getting into running. I have a 10k snowshoe race on Saturday and this was a good venue to get outside and into the fresh air and maintain a leisurely pace pre-race without my usual tendency to run hard.

Spin for a bit just to wake me up. Usually a rest day.
I'm just starting to ramp up my training for the spring summer race season and of course, to keep up with my kids.

I'm going to start my strength training to work on core, legs and upper body.
Running will be endurance - long and slow
Biking will be a combination of road and singletrack
Paddling will be in ocean kayak, flatwater boats working on technique, cuz I suck.

Sun was out...trails were wet and slippery. Went running with my club on a technical lope but didn't have much fun as the narrow trail meant for some ahead of me slowing to navigate steep sections or slow to a crawl on the uphills. I haven't been able to attend the club runs due to coaching conflicts on Tues nights with games on Saturdays and then watching my kids basketball or soccer or tae kwon do or school playes etc.
