Run 54:32 [3]
shoes: adidas sumthin' or other
Mt Doug at night with head lamp - the trails were a combination of soggy, slushy snow , hard packed slippery snow and mud.
The heel felt ok during the run, but was a bit sore towards the end....likely as I was running in my Adidas which are a road shoe and didn't have the traction required - besides, I was pussy-footing about trying to keep my feet dry in the slushy, muddy sections avoiding a cold soaker. Of course, it was inevitable that my feet would get wet, so after the guaranteed soaking, I muttered to my self that I should have just sloshed thru the first wet section and got it over with rather than dance about on the side of the trail.
I have an MRI to my left ankle/heel tomorrow morning - it's not likely to show anything other than a 50 year old left ankle/heel with OA but you never know...the doc is not sure if I had a poor healing stress fracture, peroneal tendon issue or bone spur. Whatever it is, it's been too long for my recovery. Buh.
