Home to Ferries/Sidney - five minutes into the ride I realized I forgot my spare tube/air etc and had to head home to retrieve said items - no way I wanted to be stuck on the side of the road waiting for my SO to pick me up...I would have worn that one badly.

Ride was ok - a tad cold outside and my fingers were starting to feel the cold, but otherwise I was warm.

Early morning road bike - some icy spots on the roads, otherwise fine, especially when the sun rose high enough....nice ride, no training to consider - just a ride to start the day off.

What was supposed to be a leisurely club run in and around OB to look at Christmas tree light displays turned out to be a tempo run for me - I opted to joint the fastees, a group I haven't run with since having foot/ankle/achilles problems for about two years. What a mistake - I pushed it much harder than I expected to and it wasn't a comfortable run (even without considering it was a (ugh) road run) for me. So I hung in the middle of the pack and hoped that I could make a quiet and clandestine escape at some point - not so.

Anyway, glad I did.

A few opted to hang around for the annual beer mile run (4 laps of the track and downing a beer after each lap) which I am very glad I did not participate in, as I would have wasted my four beer as it would not have spent much time in my stomach.
