biking 58:01 [2]

Daily commute to the co-op with extra poking about.

biking 41:54 [2]

Winds came up for a bit - I was hoping the waves would build but the tide was flooding with the wind - nonetheless, played around a bit and enjoyed my last paddle in Hornby.

Paddling 2:01:45 [1]

Paddled with the kids - rented a double for Bren and his friend, a single for Leah and L had the Pisces while I paddled the surfski. Launched from Fords Cove and paddled south to some rocks where there is a sea lion rookery. Noisy bunch they were. The seals were curious and would surface within a meter or two from me, usually to the rear, then try to scare me away by slapping their flippers against the surface then diving.

Leah did well paddling considering she was using a 'one size fits all' paddle that was much too long for her. She was proud of her paddling blister too. She was the slowest of the group so we hung out and feasted from my secret stash of candy.

The boys in the double took off and I'd reel them in once in a while to make sure they didn't get too far ahead. We were in a flooding tide and were able to make great time heading back to Fords Cove, with the wind at our back.

biking 1:18:51 [3]

From cabin to Ferry to Fords Cove, onto Central, onto Euston, onto ridge then a bunch of single track I haven't ridden before.

Paddling 48:12 [2]

48:12?? From Whalers to Tribune Bay - stopped to watch a guy jump ~60' from the cliff at Heliwell Park into the deep blue sea - I checked out his landing area and confirmed for him there was nothing but water underneath.

biking 1:32:16 [3]

From Cabin (1000 Carmichael) to Ferry, then trail to Fords Cove, then up Central to Strachan, then Euston, then Ridge then more single track trails (Hells Kitchen was one of 'em) and I wound up getting out onto Central Road by the water reservoir east of Sandpiper, then rode home along Central.
