From home out to W Saanich, then Interurban to Helmcken, then hiway to Colwood. Old Island HWay to Metchosin Rd, then down to Lagoon Rd, the Old Island, then....sheesh - too long to type here's the route

Note

Meant to do something, whether it was biking, running and/or paddling, but day to day chores, kid stuff and other distractions got in the way.

What I did accomplish was satisfying: I spent the afternoon tearing down my daughters new (to her) Del Sol Timberland cruiser bike and building it back up.

Did the hubs/axles, took rust off the fender stays, remounted the fenders, cleaned, polished, and otherwise brought a neglected bike back to riding mint condition.

Sweet ride!

We bought it used for a great price - a bike that had only been ridden a few times along the Venice Beach walk way.

Timed it so I could watch my daughters field hockey practice at UVic, then went home to study.
