Note

Just saw the thread for the High Sierra Rogaine. That sounds … interesting.

Trail Run 1:25:49 [1] 7.4 mi (11:36 / mi) +490m 9:37 / mi

Blue HIlls after belated mother's day brunch. Which made for some interesting running, but meant that I didn't push too, too hard. Ran until my water was out, then took a wrong turn and ran up the hill again. Luckily, the bubblers at the parking lot are on. I forget how fun these trails are, and how close. Of course, traffic on the way home, although the Google said 37 minutes and with some Boston driving I was able to do it in 32.

Twice out on the trails I was stopped by people who wanted directions. I guess when you run by people with no map they assume you know where you are going. Had I been running with a map (only reason I didn't is I couldn't find it on top of my O map pile) I would have been stopped way more. Busy times down there!

Bicycle 1:23:37 [1] 20.9 mi (4:00 / mi) +150m 3:55 / mi

Bike ride later than planned after a mostly unproductive day. But still, 70 and riding bikes. First ride this year, I think. Didn't go hard or fast and forgot my HRM again, but set a PR up the climb out of Winchester, mostly because I had a guy on my tail and didn't want him to pass me, horrors!

Hit a lot of red lights. A lot. Including one in the middle of the newly-repaved downhill on Belmont/Trapelo. Slammed on my brakes to stop. Got a nice wave from Senator Brownsberger chugging up the hill in the other direction.

Run hills 39:26 [1] 2.0 mi (19:43 / mi) +509m 11:01 / mi

Running a section of 5 sections with like-speeded people (or people wanting to go about the same speed). Of course, I chose my section based on shade. Okay, then. 37 sections felt okay, pushed a little harder than last week.

Run 24:37 [3] 3.6 mi (6:50 / mi)

Quick run around the river. HR still seems a bit high. Stopped halfway to talk to a friend biking in the other direction, too.
