Trail running warm up/down 18:00 [3] 2.6 km (6:55 / km)
shoes: Bagheera 2012
Running to the start - a bit longer than advertised and I was also a bit late so pushed most of the way...
Garmin not working - but at least I stole the way to the start from Ian...

BAOC A-meet at Pacheco State Park, Middle Distance.
Only a decent race - I was in too bad of a shape to be able to really run the way I would have wanted in terrain like this. Very open rolling hills, not particularly difficult orienteering but very physical uphills - with the sun also playing a part.
The course (Green, H60) was voided due to a misplaced control - #3 was maybe 50-100m from the correct spot. I hit the cliff and the pink ribbon that marked the correct control placement and continued on without too much time loss - just hesitating a bit, but since I was sure I was in the right place I couldn´t really find any reason to look around.
Made a huge error on the next control though which ruined any hopes of a good result - hard to estimate, but somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes lost is my guess.
Reported at the finish about the missing control and heard that it had already been protested. Course was eventually voided, but the day was overall pleasant all the same.
Birgit and Maria "ran" the same course but were both slower - walking mostly - due to not feeling healthy (in the beginning and the end respectively of a period of bad cold).

A couple of bad training days partly due to work stress. I want to finish "everything" before I leave for San Francisco on Thursday and some things have taken longer than anticipated.
Went to TNT in Skräddarbacken to eat and socialize to get a little break from marking exams and to pick up some noname gear for Anders.
