Orienteering race 48:41 [3]

Did the wrong course, found out halfway and slowed my pace down because I knew I wouldn't get points for this race, so I didn't want to push it...

Going into this race I knew I wasn't going to be the fastest girl (sprints aren't my strongest discipline, especially so early in the season!) But regardless, I'm extremely happy with my time! =)
The first control I had a hick up because of the scale, but other than that, I felt super powerful smashing through the rest of the course =D

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

My dad went through my maps and found the Harriman training maps from October.

Him: I know where this area is, you can train on the way to the Breton's.
Me: Dad... it's only a piece of a map and there are no roads/lake names
Him: I know where it is.
Me:.... Well Okay then!

six hours later and we stopped at a random area on the road and I was able to do a light training

Note

Felt like major poopy after yesterday's training.

Partly because the track won't be fixed until May (I.e. no 3k time to submit), another part being general exhaustion from school/school work, and the final part because I couldn't get warm no a matter how many layers I put on.

I got so fed up with the flow of the day that I missed my last two lectures to go for an hour drive on the back roads to clear my head from stupid stress...(with a quick stop to Dunkin Donuts, naturally)

Three more days until team trials!

Three more weeks of class and then I'm done with my sophomore/junior year though, so that's something to look forward to!

3 out of my 4 classes got cancelled today so I was able to have the entire afternoon off =)

Very chilled shake out run around town!

(Or should I say hot.... 23*C...)

You know how you have those friends that say that they want to train with you to get in shape, but never seem to follow through with their wish?

Well today my childhood best friend did come with me to the gym!

We're making a plan for her to:

1) Stop smoking cigarettes
2) Drink more water
3) Do a 15-30 minute jog in the morning
4) Do 30 minutes of core at night

I was actually stoked to have someone to work out with! It gets pretty darn lonely here in the 802...

In the beginning I was reasonably slow, but after the second-third control I picked up the pace and went into semi-beast mode.

(semi because its still too early in the season to release the full beast)
