Road cycling 1:15:00 [3] 22.0 km (3:25 / km)
shoes: Bike: Beemer Auto

Similar to last Friday, but went harder (still in SCR) and a bit longer. Around the river to Bayswater, back along the rail path.

Note

Walked the H4 course, but left out the Northern loop (4 to 7) by going straight from 3 to 8. Well, almost straight :-) - walked right past 8 in a bit of a daydream and almost to the next gully. Quite tricky with the quad having to negotiate fallen logs and especially downhill from the last control with wet bare rock and mud. Think I managed not to damage it again.

Road cycling 1:05:00 [1] 17.0 km (3:49 / km)
shoes: Bike: Beemer Auto

Physio gave me all clear for gentle ride - no hills, small chain ring. River path to Maylands, then Peninsula Rd & 8th Ave to the rail path and home. Felt a few twinges in the last 3-4kms but nothing like the pain when I try to do the light stretches he gave me. Will try another ride in a day or two.

Note
(injured)

Leg still quite sore so went to doctor, had x-rays and ultrasound scans. Scans found 5cm and a couple of smaller tears in R rectus femoris (one of the 4 'quads'). Medico at Envision where I had the scans said 4-6 weeks, my gp reckons 6 weeks. We'll see. Couldn't get appointment with Duncan for 2+ weeks.
