Running hills 53:38 [3] 10.0 km (5:22 / km)
shoes: ASICS GT 2130

Reabold run, included the extra hill - first time for 3 months. Always seem to have more time for training when the orienteering season is over - pity!

Running 47:36 [3] 9.0 km (5:17 / km)

Bridges and Heirisson Island loop. Still a round half-dozen roos on the Island, all across the track again, but they hopped away when I got within 5m. Usually when I run past Trinity College there are either a couple of jet skis, or a mob of student rowers, but tonight was rather strange - a full size Venetian gondola with velvet covered seats, a canopy, and all the trimmings, on a trailer - looked like it had just been pulled out of the water.

Running 39:19 [4] 8.0 km (4:55 / km)

Kings Park loop, got to half-way in reasonable time, then had Rob Jessop to pace me on the hills.

Orienteering race 59:18 [3] *** 4.8 km (12:21 / km)
spiked:9/12c shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330

H3 course at South Ledge, trying out Inov8 shoes for the first time. Found them quite comfortable, and with a very 'soft' feel - much different from Jalas spikes. The sole seems to have some 'give' as well as good grip. GPS distance was 6.2km although I thought I went fairly straight. A couple of hesitations, and one bingo control that cost me a couple of minutes. Cath the winner again, 4-5 minutes in front of me, but only made 3rd as Graham B was a minute behind Cath.
