shoes: Bike: Bianchi Coast to Coast

Freeway-Freo ride, turned off Freeway at Rowley Rd. The first 500m of Rowley has a terrible, potholed surface, after that is good. Surprising because it seems to be used by a lot of heavy trucks, 3 in a row almost forcing us off the road.

Bridges run from East Perth. South side of Windan Bridge closed, so had to run around to the North side, probably adding 400-500m to the normal distance. Rib got a little sore over the last 2kms.

Short lap of Kings Park at slow pace, rib sore at first, ok after 2-3kms, sore again later.

Event: Umuna
 

Orienteering race 42:30 [3] 4.5 km (9:27 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

H4 course at Umuna. GPS 5.03km. Running at about 60-70% of normal pace, could feel soreness in the chest until about halfway through the long leg from 6-7, ie about half the course, then the soreness seemed to gradually fade. 1 min mistakes at 2 and 10. Was trying to use clearings to get to 2, but they were less clear on the ground than the map, missed the control and went about 2 contours too low. At 10 I just wasn't reading the map, a bit tired and lazy after the layoff I guess.
