Road cycling 4:17:47 [4] 94.8 km (2:43 / km)
shoes: Bike: Bianchi Coast to Coast

Around the Bay training. Midland rail path, Guildford, Helena Valley Rd, Coulston, Ryecroft, Thomas, then Mundaring Weir Rd past the dam to Kalamunda, Gooseberry Hill, down the Zig-Zag and back along Helena Valley Rd. Longest ride we've done, but still well short of 210km - oh well!

Started out knowing I needed a new SCR after Quantum serviced the bike and replaced the chain during the week - noticed it was noisy on yesterday's ride. (According to the experts, when you replace the chain you always check the chain rings for wear, Q didn't - but they did replace the cassette! [for a price]). Got to Maylands and the shifter wouldn't go into the BCR, so did the whole ride in low range. Cable probably stuffed. So much for servicing! Will stick to Elite for servicing in future - possibly more expensive, but they always do a good job.

Have to take it to elite tomorrow, as it's got to be fixed then go in a bag for Tuesday's flight!
