Running 1:04:16 [3] 10.4 km (6:11 / km)
ahr:131 max:159 shoes: Asics GT2160

3 laps of Yokine Reserve. HRM still crap - showed over 150 for half of the first lap, did not drop until I actually stopped. Beginning to despair of finding a run where nothing affects it, and I get a true reading.

Running 40:06 [3] 6.64 km (6:02 / km)
ahr:126 max:156 shoes: Asics GT2160

Short lap of Kings Park. HRM still playing up, real average would be more like 115, max was probably 130 at most. Calves were really tight yesterday and worse today, due to the downhills on Sunday at Jorgensen. Remembered that i had some compression long socks at the last minute, and they worked well for the run. Not so good for the walking part of the warm-down.

Orienteering race 40:34 [4] ** 5.6 km (7:15 / km) +250m 5:55 / km
ahr:137 max:155 spiked:23/23c shoes: Inov-8 Oroc 280

Long E course trail race at Jorgensen Park. Sneaked in to punch the Start first, then No. 1 before being passed by Fenry and tRicky on the narrow path down to 2. Shotrat, Ameko, Ameko Junior and Alice M then passed me on the hill up to 3 and 4. Stopped for a drink at 8, but then caught Ameko on the downhill to 10, and passed him across the shortcut to 11, where he turned the wrong way. Then caught Alice going across country to 13, she got away up a hill out of 13, but I was gaining rapidly down the steep hill and caught her at 14, but was passed by Lee H going like a rocket on the last part of the descent. He stopped at 14, and Alice quickly gained 30m on me along the flat to 15, then I started to gain on her up the long hill to 16, but she got away again near the top. Lee passed me again between 17 & 18, but I kept them both within 30-40m until almost catching them at 20. Surprised to see Shotrat here, but they all took off up a slight hill to 21, where Ameko Jr also appeared. He and Shotrat punched first but both went way wide on the short leg to 22, with Lee following. Alice was ahead of me but still slightly right, so I ducked into the control, punched (I won the split!) and was off to the last before anyone recovered. Just managed to stay ahead until the Finish, and realised that only Fenry and tRicky had beaten me, albeit by 10 minutes.

GPS distance 6.27. Enjoyed the course, although I would have liked not to have to walk half of the big hill (I used to run it all the way on training runs in the early-mid noughties.

RG no good - Fenry is the only name option, and control 7 doesn't register.
