Event: Marginata

Orienteering race 1:10:19 [4] **** 6.1 km (11:32 / km)
ahr:132 max:143 spiked:10/13c shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 330

H3 course at Marginata, 7.6km on gps. Lost about 1 min at 5, 5mins at 7, and 7-8 mins at 9, all were due to lack of concentration from the attackpoint, although 7 was partly excusable with a fairly major mappibng omission.

Road cycling 1:48:15 [3] 43.6 km (2:29 / km)
shoes: Bike: Bianchi Coast to Coast

West Coast-Nedlands ride. Windy again.

Friday Sep 7, 2012 #

Road cycling 2:25:00 [3] 58.0 km (2:30 / km)
shoes: Bike: Bianchi Coast to Coast

Around the river, Mt Henry, Swanbourne, stop at the Daily Grind for coffee and banana bread. Windy - SE going down the Freeway, was NE by the time I got to Freo, so headwind most of the way.

Running 1:05:20 [3] 11.2 km (5:50 / km)
shoes: ASICS GT 2170

Hyde Park laps (5 x normal + fig.8) plus the 1200m from home and back.

The Running Centre has a training group there every Thursday, I think they're meant to be doing 'speed intervals'. I reckon they spend at least half their time standing around while the coach talks. When they are running half of them don't look like they're really ready for intervals - lots of very slow and walking people. They should be concentrating on running regularly and building up to where they could at least run 10km without stopping before doing intervals. The ones who do go fast want to take up the whole path, bit of a nuisance.

Running 43:03 [3] 7.9 km (5:27 / km)
shoes: Asics GT2160

Kings Park run - buffeted by strong winds so not surprised that slower than last week.
